About the Instructor:

Fiona Ratzlaff is the CEO of Framework COO, LLC, and the creator of Business Matrix Toolbox. With extensive experience in business operations, she has founded and managed eight businesses, honing her expertise in strategic planning, market research, policy development, staff training, compliance, and process optimization. Her background spans various industries, including nonprofit organizations, medical practices, technology, health insurance, and education, where she has implemented efficient systems and driven business growth.

Fiona’s expertise in research and education has played a pivotal role in shaping industry standards. As the Paraoptometric Committee Chair for the New Mexico Optometric Association (NMOA), she worked alongside the American Optometric Association (AOA) to establish continuing education regulations for paraoptometrics in New Mexico—standards that remain in place today.

A dedicated leader in the Albuquerque-Santa Fe business community, Fiona serves as a mentor for New Mexico Angels and CNM Ingenuity, a board director for the Better Business Bureau, and a board member of the Southwest Community Empowerment Foundation (SWCEF), a nonprofit committed to business support and development.

Recognizing a critical gap in structured education for independent contractors, freelancers, and business owners, Fiona developed Business Matrix Toolbox courses. Her research revealed that federal laws governing independent contractors have existed since 1947, yet comprehensive education on compliance and best practices was lacking. Business Matrix Toolbox provides the essential legal, financial, and operational knowledge needed for sustainable success in today’s evolving marketplace.
