Canvas Homepages using DesignPLUS will introduce the concepts, tools, and best practices for effective academic course home page design. This course provides the information and skills you need to successfully build a Canvas homepage using the Rich Content Editor (RCE) and DesignPLUS by Cidilabs. This presentation will also serve as an introduction to DesignPLUS, which is an optional course design tool available at NMSU (used by our professional instructional design team). The DesignPLUS principles shared in this course are not limited to homepages and can be applied across your entire Canvas course.

By the end of this course users will be able to:

• Understand the difference between the 5 types of Canvas homepage types
• Utilize best practices in homepage design
• Create a Canvas homepage completely from scratch using the rich content editor supplemented with the DesignPLUS course design tool
• Assign a Canvas page as both the front page and the homepage
